Chiesa di San Lino, Volterra - Pisa in Toscana
La chiesa fu edificata dal beato Raffaello Maffei nel luogo dove si dice che avesse vissuto Papa San Lino, primo successore di Pietro. La facciata è adornata da un portale rinascimentale.
Nell’interno ad una sola navata e con soffitto a volta decorato con affreschi, si osserva sull’altare maggiore una tavola raffigurante la “Vergine e i Santi” ad opera di Francesco Curradi; alle pareti laterali sono affrescate “la Natività della Vergine” di Cesare Dandini risalente alla prima metà del secolo XVII e la “Visita di Sant’Elisabetta” di Cosimo Daddi del 1619. A sinistra, nel presbiterio, è conservato il monumento sepolcrale del beato Raffaello Maffei eseguito da Silvio Cosini da Fiesole nel 1522.
