Oratorio del Santissimo Sacramento, Monteverdi Marittimo - Pisa in Toscana
Costruito nel 1751, fu rimaneggiato nel secolo XVIII. All’interno si possono ammirare sculture di scuola senese, una “Madonna” del secolo XV e un Crocifisso ligneo di scuola fiorentina del secolo XV, oggetto di devozione.
In questo oratorio, ai piedi dell’altare intitolato a San Walfredo - dove troneggia una tela con il “Santo che abbandona le armi per abbracciare l’ordine monastico”, opera del conte Giuseppe della Gherardesca - sarebbero sepolti i corpi riesumati nell’anno della traslazione dall’antica abbazia avvenuta nel 1781, e che furono identificati con quelli di San Walfredo, del beato Andrea e del frate Leonardo.
