Chiesa dei SS Andrea e Lucia, Cascina - Pisa in Toscana
Di fondazione medievale, la Chiesa fu almeno dal secolo XIV di patronato dei Compagni (o da Compagno) che edificarono anche l’adiacente rocca. Totalmente riedificata per volontà del curato Valerio Petrelli, fu consacrata nel 1726. La semplice struttura esterna in laterizio con portali, finestre e stemmi in pietra serena cela un interno assai ricco, con altare in marmo policromo, stucchi e tele settecentesche di Ranieri del Pace, Giovan Domenico Pucci, Giuseppe Tais.
Risalente al Trecento è il polittico raffigurante la “Madonna col Bambino e santi” ad opera di Barnaba da Modena. La chiesa si trova accanto ad una rocca trecentesca (di cui si conservano i resti) che faceva parte del sistema difensivo della Repubblica di Pisa.
