Chiesa del Santo Sepolcro - Pisa in Tuscany
Around the mid-12th century the architect Diotisalvi erected this octagonal monument for the Order of the Ospitalieri of San Giovanni. In the last century all the arcades were removed during the restoration work. The church presents a spire of double upper windows, entrance doors and a high octagonal dome resting on a tambour with the same geometric shape. Santa Ubaldesca Taccini is the patroness saint of the Order of the Knights of Malta. Nearby is a brickwork bell tower, from which stand out the features of the church’s author.
