Pieve di San Martino - Pisa in Tuscany
The brickwork parish church alternates Romanesque and Gothic elements, although it was restored in the 19th century. The façade shows three portals and numerous small arches, while the large interior presents two side aisles and a nave with pillars supporting round arches. The parish church stands outside the village and periodically houses important musical exhibitions.
The interior has two side aisles and a nave; the presbyterate stands on a higher level, on which are three chapels and a semi-decagonal apse. Noteworthy is the stone christening font coming from the old Temple of Santa Maria in Ripezzano near Palaia which was destroyed in the first half of the 17th century.
