Villa del Torto - Pisa in Tuscany
It was a medieval castle. The villa was built on the south side, the best exposed part of the village. The ruins of the old buildings are still visible on the west side, while the north side shows a series of arches serving as supports of a passageway of the rounds inside the walls (lost over the centuries).
The villa, which today belongs to the baron Brunner, was built by the Upezzinghi family, then it passed to the Del Torto family and finally to Giuseppe Conti, who in 1811 modified and embellished the villa with gardens.
