Oratorio del Redentore, Montecatini Val di Cecina - Pisa in Tuscany
Built in the 17th century, it keeps the terracotta statue representing the Redeemer. It is said that the statue was found in the wood by a group of hunters who removed it from the stone and brought it to Casale Marittimo, but the statue ran away and came back to the wood.
The inhabitants of the Sassa tried to get it back. When they found it, they placed it on its pedestal in the oratory where many miracles occurred; in particular, the inhabitants addressed to the statue to invoke rain in periods of drought and other natural disasters and their prayers were quickly answered.
