Pieve di San Martino, Montecatini Val di Cecina - Pisa in Tuscany
Of medieval origin, it was modified in different ages. The most ancient part, with the apse facing east, is built in dark grey sandstone and above the door are four walled stones with simple Romanesque decorations.
The building underwent several alterations in the decade 1780-90 with the opening of a second apse facing south, which today houses the high altar and changed the orientation of the church. It presents a ridge roof and a beamed ceiling; the interior with a single nave keeps, on the right of the new apse, an old red marble christening font coming from the parish church of Caselle and transported here in the 16th century, when the church was transformed into a parish church
