Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo, Pomarance - Pisa in Tuscany
On the sandstone façade is a simple portal surmounted by a lunette; the bell gable houses two bells, the smaller of which bears the year 1286.
The high altar of the interior, provided with a single nave with beamed ceiling, keeps a canvas representing the “Madonna del Carmine with St. John and St. Michael” by a 16th-century Tuscan artist, transferred here from the old parish church where it was situated above an altar built in 1727 with stone columns “caritate piorum”.
