Chiesa di Santa Lucia - Pisa in Tuscany
In 1372 it was mentioned as a branch of the parish church of Sant’Angelo. The building is characterised by an imposing bell tower and an octagonal lantern. After the 19th-century rebuilding, probably due to the earthquake of 1846, the interior was divided into two side aisles and a nave, so that, although the church is not large, we get the impression of a monumental building.
An inscription carved in a stone on the left edge refers to previous restoration work of 1755. The church keeps a fragment of a 15th-century wooden panel with the “Virgin and Child” and a white marble monument in neoclassical style, characterised by symbolic elements, which commemorates Vincenzo Giuseppe Totti from Santa Luce, died in 1858 during a cholera epidemic.
