Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta - Pisa in Tuscany
The church of Santa Maria Assunta, which dates back to the 19th century, was documented since 840. It is certain that it was restored in 1553: the church keeps a “Virgin of the Saintly Rosary” attributed to Domenico Passignano, with six donors’ portraits of the Sancasciani family, which frame a 14th-century wooden panel with the “Virgin and Child”, known as “Our Mother of the Thanksgiving”, attributed to Maestro di San Torpè.
