Chiesa dei SS Bartolomeo e Cristoforo - Pisa in Tuscany
The building, in its present-day appearance, dates back to 1850, when it was rebuilt in neoclassical style after being destroyed by the earthquake of 14th August 1846, which caused serious damages all around the area. The church has very ancient origins since it was already mentioned in the documents of 1227.
The interior has a monumental appearance and presents an imposing arch leading to the presbyterate supported by four columns and semi-circular apse. Above the right altar is a wooden statue of “St. Bartholomew”.
