Villa Il Casermone - Pisa in Tuscany
It belongs to the historical villas of Crespina, built on the top of the hillocks in a strategic position in respect of the village. The villa was built at the end of the 16th century on the hills of Crespina at Il Pettinaccio and was enlarged in 1717 by the Captain Poletti.
The building consists of a central body and two towers standing out on the surrounding area. The symmetric façade consists of three levels: the owner’s floor is characterised by windows with mannerist stone frames, while the top floor presents oval openings with plain stone frames. The façade shows the portal-balcony-door-window arrangement. Today the building is falling into decay: the interior has been recently divided into several apartments, while the ancient structure of the garden has disappeared.
