Museo Civico “F. Baldinucci” - Pisa in Tuscany
The Lari Castle, home to Florentine cardinals, is at present seat of the Museo Civico where the Sala del Tribunale (the Court Room) of the XVIII century and the Sala dei Tormenti, with its torture instruments and prison cellars dating back to the period between XVI-XIX, can be visited.
The historical rooms hold acheological remains from Etruscan and Roman times along with medieval pottery with heraldic coat of arms dating back to the XVI-XVII century. Noteworthy are the numerous coat of arms in glazed terracotta, in tufaceous rock and in marble by the Della Robbias.
