Villa Giusti, Lari - Pisa in Tuscany
It was called “Villa Zar”; then it became a shooting lodge of the noble Fioravanti family from Pisa. The most ancient portion of the building dates from the beginning of the 17th century; it was enlarged in the 18th century by the Counts Da Scorno, another noble Pisan family (today disappeared).
The main room preserves a fresco on the vault. On the altar of the chapel is a painting on wooden board depicting the “Madonna della Neve” (Madonna of the Snow), attributed to the school of Andrea Del Sarto. Behind the altar is another fresco with the same Madonna between S. Ranieri and S. Francesco.
